What that means
Until now the only way to get a bottle was to order one. This fall you can taste all five before you decide — first at the Florida Creatives Market in Port St. Lucie on October 3 and 4, then every Saturday here in Royal Palm Beach from October 17. That matters more for hot sauce than for almost anything else sold at a market, because the difference between our mild garlic bottle and the ghost jolokia is not a matter of degree — they are different peppers with different jobs, and thirty seconds with a tasting spoon tells you more than any description we could write.

Where to start at the table
Mild end first. First Mistake is garlic and cayenne and it converts people who swear they do not like hot sauce. Then Took The Bet, the jalapeño, which is the middle of the scale and the easiest place to judge from. The ghost is last, in drops, and only if you ask. We will not hand it to you.
If you already know what you want, the sets save a few dollars over the singles, and the pick-any-three lets you build your own.
Who is usually at the market
It is a village market rather than a festival: produce, baked goods, plants, prepared food and local makers, on the lawn by the lake at Village Hall. Parking is on site, it is walkable from most of Royal Palm Beach, and it is an easy drive from Wellington, Loxahatchee and West Palm Beach. Bring a bag; bottles are glass.
